The reasearcher sat around the campfire with her teammates listening as their team leader made annoucements, she waited then spoke out about what happened at the Kats mob. The others looked to her and the direction asked her to tell more.
The researcher told that the group was split after a bird was seen. Truffle, Pied Piper, and their close family ran to the proper burrow, but the others ran away and off the mob's main land.
She paused then said that she observe the meerkats in the larger portion showing acceptance to young meerkat Bijou and also that a male they had been watching, Pedro was surrounded. Did the group accept these two meerkats as their leaders?
The choice needed to be made. Either they collared to didn't collar Bijou, some said this would probably be tempory since Truffle would do anything to find her family. But a good many said it might not be possible. The large splinter was further from the patch they had been foraging at.
The choice was made by the leader. Bijou would be collared today. But it was unknown of the male, who they couldn't put into any of the groups here.

Entry Organizer: New Mobs
The researcher sat in her tent looking down at the new pad she now used for their new study subjects. The mobs in this area were fairly new actually with split offs from unknown mobs. The process was close but now the meerkats didn't blink when they came up.
The dominants were collared and the groups named and now despite the empty hole in her heart that the Souls left she now found a new group. She named this group the Kats.
When they arrive at the scene the mob had been ruled by Thistlebrush, a old female that was white gray from age. The researcher and her partners witness the lost of Old Queen Thistlebrush and the rise of her eldest daughter who they named Truffle rise to power. Now Truffle had many children and one of her daughters reminded the Researcher of Sandstorm.
Kats (KT) Thistlebrush-Unknown, Truffle-Pied Piper

The Kats were a band that might of been in the study area for a long time. Thistlebrush was the oldest female in the area and the DF of this group, but when she died her daughter Truffle took dominance.
Truffle is now leader of a group of twenty nine and she seems to be doing fine with her partner. But recent events have arised.
One of Truffle's daughters, a female called Lilac had gave birth to two pups but the female was force to take one and abandon the other. The two pups did have a name Bijou and the one left behind being Cloudy. When the surviving pup came above ground Truffle evicted her and Lilac left and formed a small mob named the Clouds.

The researcher checked her notes on the group she mentioned at the end. This group seemed to had been doing well but finding them was hard work. She then wonder what would happen if the Bijou met her mother.
Clouds (CL) Lilac-Stonehold

The Clouds are a small group of eight meerkats headed by evicted Kat female Lilac who was joined by a Ridgeback male Stonehold, able to be idenified by the scar on one eye. The group seems to be doing fairly well but they lost the first litter of pups to a attack from the Kats.

Entry Organizing: Current and Lost
The young researcher sighs as she moves her pen from the pad and bites her bottom lip. Her eyes scan her reports briefly and sighs once more. She looked at her computer with its flashing screen and the names, pictures and data of the meerkats in the project.
She knows that people look at this info, many have choosen favorites amongst the mobs and particular meerkats. But now she would change the info with her latest knowledge. Tragedy struck the project area.
The researcher felt sadness in her heart as she related what she now knew then placing her pad aside she turned fully to her screen and began the task.
Her shaking fingers pressed the buttons as she edited each group, moving many to the Lost section, when she put down the info for why she nearly cried, especially since one of the now lost mobs were her most favorite. The Souls.
Souls (SS)

The Souls was a group made of the famous Moomin male Fluffernutter and his three siblings. The female Sandstorm took the place of dominant female and was joined by a Eleevra male Jogu. The group raised many pups with few mixed litters.
During one period the Souls splitted and the portion under Sandstorm travel away from the normal area and spent a short time in amongst the mobs there. During that time Sandstorm mated with a unknown male, who took often briefly but was driven off by the males. The litter didn't survive.
The group survived without trouble but then problems occurred. Dominant male Jogu died from unknown causes and the group was chased from their land by a fire. Some of the males left but decease and Starvation claimed the others.
Sandstorm, Jasmine, Toft, and Fluffernutter were the remaining group by 2009 but the three latter vanished and Sandstorm was found dead, bitten by a Cape Cobra.

The researcher felt tears run down her face and she went over those words she herself had wrote. She felt close to this family but now they, like so many others were gone. This project was failing and many of the meerkat mobs were being struck down. The head of their team decided that they would move to a new study area.
With one more sigh a tear falling on the desk, the researcher clicked okay and then closed the lid.
